Cyber Security Training
People think that the greatest cyber threat comes from email and computer programs but the reality is that employees are the weakest link in any security program. Statistics reveal that 98% of all data breaches involve human error. Cybersecurity training is a critical element that needs to be employed to ensure employees are properly trained and actually embrace a culture of good cyber hygiene.  Our company creates innovative cybersecurity training for employees, students, and community events in an effort create a culture of security.

Cyber Security Risk Assessment

The first step to creating a safe data security environment is understanding the risks to information and property. Our company is trained to assist you in identifying the risks to both your people and data. What most people don’t realize is that not all cybersecurity risks are readily apparent or even IT-related. Whether the risk is logical, physical or force majeure, our company will utilize a Cyber Security Risk Assessment to identify your physical and cyber risks. DSRS, Inc leverages all of our divisions to help you create a customized Cyber Security Risk Assessment tailored to your company, agency, or institution.  

Cyber Security Policy & Procedure Services
Experts have identified cybersecurity policies are one of the most important tools in your compliance arsenal. Policies serve as mitigating controls to your risks while providing direction and accountability for your employees. The SC DIS-200 Information Security and Privacy Standards promulgates the standards that govern state agencies, institutions, departments, divisions, boards, commissions and authorities and our company is prepared to ensure you are in compliance with these standards. DSRS, Inc will provide you with your industries best practices for creating and implementing your cybersecurity policies and procedures. Our advice is customized but follows the standards outlined by NIST.  We can evaluate your existing policies or help you build your policies from the ground up, making your company or institution more secure and more compliant.


SLED Certification Training
Why do you need  SLED Certification? SLED certification is necessary to pursue a career as a security guard in the state of South Carolina. It is illegal to engage in security, protection or bodyguard work if you do not hold a VALID and CURRENT SLED certification card and work for a certified and licensed security company.  DSRS, Inc offers SLED training courses for individuals that would like to become SLED certified. DSRS, Inc has a SLED certified security instructor to teach each class. Our classes are open to the public and the schedule is flexible. Come and complete your training with us.  

SLED Level I, II,& III - Unarmed-Armed training

The SLED level I unarmed is the basic course required to become a registered security guard in South Carolina. This 4-hour class ends with an exam that must be passed in order for you to obtain a license. We work with you to make sure you understand the responsibilities, requirements, and limitations of guard work in South Carolina.  The SLED level II/II armed are the courses required to become an armed security guard in South Carolina. These 4-hour classes include a firearms exam in addition to the written exam. We work with you to make sure you understand the responsibilities, requirements, and limitations of armed guard work in South Carolina. If you do not pass the written exam or the firearms portion of any course you must re-register for the course and take it again.  To complete the class you must have valid identification and two sets of blue fingerprint cards. You must also bring your own weapon and at least 100 rounds of ammunition to the firearms portion of the course. Do not bring loaded weapons to the classroom.  It is not necessary to take both level II and III to become armed. Level II is for individuals that are carrying revolvers and Level III is for individuals carrying semi-automatics. To complete any of the classes you must have valid identification and two sets of blue fingerprint cards, you bring your SLED and Contract Security Employee applications and we will notarize it all for you.  Once you pass the class you will be given a training form that allows you to work for 20 days until your SLED card arrives in 4-6 weeks. Unarmed training tuition is $90 and Armed training tuition is $100 per level plus any SLED, range and fingerprint fees for registration. Class payments must be in the form of a certified check, cash, or money order. 


SLED CWP Training includes:

All state required Instruction including: Basic firearm mechanics & operation, Concealed Carry Ammunition overview, Different types of Concealed Carry firearms, CCW General firearm safety, Legal instruction including Justifiable Force, Citizen’s Arrest, Reciprocity, Firearm transport, Concealed Carry Firearm storage & accessories overview (holsters, safes, etc), Escalation of Force, Criminal & Civil Liability, and Firing stances and positions. This is an 8-hour course and you must also bring your own weapon and at least 100 rounds of ammunition to the firearms portion of the course. Tuition is $75 plus any SLED, range, and fingerprint fees.
